Update Failures

< 1 min read

Update failure indicator in the dashboard

Most update failures come down to filesystem access, vendor delivery limits, or a conflict on the site.

Common causes #

  • WordPress does not have permission to replace plugin files.
  • A premium plugin needs a vendor download or valid vendor license.
  • A timeout or conflict interrupts the update.

What to do #

  1. Read the error message on the plugin card or in WordPress.
  2. Check Site health & data for file and connection problems.
  3. If the plugin is premium, update it through the vendor path.
  4. If the site behaves badly after the update and you have Trial or Pro, use rollback.
