Quick Summary

  • UpWiz uses data required for licensing, support, and secure updates.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • You can always ask us to show, correct, or delete your data.

Effective date: April 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UpWiz handles information through the UpWiz website, customer and account portal, hosted APIs, support channels, billing workflows, and plugin-connected hosted services.

1. Information We Process

Account and contact details

We may process account identifiers, registration or administrator email addresses, support contact details, account status, and related customer-portal information.

Subscription and billing-related information

We may process plan, trial, subscription, renewal, invoice, order, tax, payment-status, and billing-contact information. Payment card details may be collected and processed by payment providers; UpWiz does not need to receive full card numbers when a payment provider handles the transaction.

License, site, and plugin metadata

When you connect a site or use plugin-connected hosted services, we may process license keys, site URL, site name, WordPress and PHP versions, database table prefix, plugin slug/name/file, plugin and update URIs, installed/current/new version metadata, request timestamps, query hashes, and related service metadata.

Changelog, AI analysis, and vulnerability request data

When analysis or review features are requested, we may process changelog text, changelog source metadata, plugin version context, AI-analysis request data, vulnerability/security-check request metadata, and cached response metadata needed to provide the service and reduce repeated requests.

Support messages and diagnostics

If you contact support, we may process the messages, screenshots, logs, diagnostics, account details, and site or plugin information you choose to provide.

Website and service logs

We may process basic technical logs such as IP address, user agent, page or API request details, timestamps, error records, and security events for reliability, abuse prevention, and service integrity.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide the website, customer portal, hosted APIs, and related services.
  • Create and manage accounts, trials, subscriptions, licenses, renewals, and support requests.
  • Validate licenses, sync account status, and manage plan limits.
  • Process AI analysis requests, vulnerability/security checks, changelog-related context, and cache lookups requested through the service.
  • Maintain service reliability, prevent abuse or fraud, protect accounts, and investigate security or billing issues.
  • Respond to support requests and improve service quality.
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, compliance, dispute, and enforcement obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with providers that support hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, transactional email, analytics, security, logging, or support operations, under appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, security, users, or service integrity.

4. Payment Providers

Payment providers may collect and process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. UpWiz may receive transaction and subscription records, payment status, invoice details, limited payment-method descriptors, and related billing information needed to operate subscriptions and support customers.

5. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, account and subscription management, support history, reliability, abuse prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute handling, and backup or security purposes.

6. Security Measures

  • Access controls and least-privilege operational practices.
  • Transport security for website and API communication.
  • Monitoring, logging, and abuse-prevention controls for service integrity.
  • Operational safeguards for support, account, and billing workflows.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export certain personal information. You can contact us at support@upwiz.app to make a request. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request.

8. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries where UpWiz or its providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards when required by applicable law.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
